Taking a 30 minute walk three times per week improves your ability to balance and improves overall fitness. Increase the body’s bone density by taking a daily dose of Vitamin D and calcium, and doing some strength training. This can help reduce your risk of fractures.

Be sure to check your blood pressure regularly. It is possible to have high blood pressure and not know it. It is sometimes known as “the silent killer” due to the lack of symptoms experienced by many people before an attack. As you age, it is vitally important to monitor your blood pressure.
